Graham Atkinson
Contracts Director

Graham has worked in construction for the last 32 years. He joined Marcus Worthington & Co in 1979 and has carried out every conceivable type of construction. As a contracts director and general manager, Graham is responsible for overseeing the construction delivery arm of the business and has had many successful projects.

Carl Bayliss
Quantity Surveying Director

Carl joined Marcus Worthington & Co in 1994 as a quantity surveyor and progressed quickly to senior quantity surveyor. Carl is now quantity surveying director, supervising a team of quantity surveyors as well as being responsible for all commercial aspects of concurrent projects and up front delivery to site.

David Boardman
Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior quantity surveyor David joined the Marcus Worthington Group in 1978 and is one of the company’s most experienced professionals, having worked in the industry for nearly 40 years. He is responsible for running a number of concurrent projects across the retail, education, commercial property, leisure and housing sectors.

Peter Crook
Procurement Director

Peter has worked in construction for 31 years, the last 28 years being with Marcus Worthington & Co. He is responsible for supply chain management, supporting an annual expenditure portfolio of in excess of £25m per annum.

David Smart
Construction Director

David joined Marcus Worthington & Co in 1988. As a construction director, David is responsible for construction delivery across a number of concurrent sites, including supervision of project/site managers and interface with clients and consultants.

Steve Smith
Finance Director

Steve heads up the finance team and has worked alongside Marcus since 1994. He is responsible for ensuring that the company’s financial reporting systems and external banking arrangements are consistent with the demands being placed on the portfolio. Steve’s role also encompasses the company IT infrastructure.

Giles Worthington
Operations Director

Giles has been operations director for the Marcus Worthington Group for nearly ten years. He is responsible for construction delivery across a number of concurrent sites, including supervision of project managers and site managers and liaison with clients and consultants.

Chief Executive

Marcus is the chief executive of the Marcus Worthington Group, having originally founded the company in 1975. He has worked in the contracting and property development sector for over 40 years, making him one of the most experienced and respected professionals working in the industry today.

Russell Worthington
Development Director

As development director, Russell has a hands-on role at every stage of the development process, from initial acquisition strategy and raising finance right through to eventual handover to end users and occupiers. He has been a director of the business for five years, during which time he has been responsible for a whole range of development schemes of between £5m and £35m in size.

Simeon Worthington
Legal Counsel

Simeon has a wealth of experience in dealing with land-based legal matters, and acts for the Marcus Worthington Group across a range of legal matters, including regulation compliance, contracts, litigation and insurance.

Barry Dickinson
Project Director

Barry has been working with Marcus Worthington & Co since 1991 . As senior projects manager he is responsible for construction delivery across a number of concurrent sites, including supervision of project and construction managers, and interface with clients and their consultants.
