We acknowledge that people have different training needs and here at Marcus Worthington’s we offer a number of different programmes to support and train employees, students and graduates.
The different programmes include:
Apprentices – Apprentice opportunities for anyone wishing to start their career in construction as a joiner or bricklayer.
Preston College is one of the main providers of the individual training pogrammes designed for all our apprentices in order to maximise their potential. Each one of our apprentices are assigned a fully experienced and qualified mentor in order to learn the aspects key to their role along with a project that has specific works relating to their training.
Graduate Opportunities – Graduate placements are often available for construction managers, quanitity surveyors and project managers.
Undergraduate Placements – Year out work experience for suitable sutdents who are on university sandwich courses.
Part-time Study – Opportunities available for any employee who wishes to help progress their career and develop their knowledge whilst continuing to work.
For the future
In the near future, the company is hoping to be able to offer a number of work placements for construction undergraduates, ranging from year out placements to summer placements. These placements will help enable the students to develop the right skills and hands on experience for a career in the construction industry.
