Marcus Worthington to the Rescue!

Tradesmen step in the help Channel 5's Operation Homefront to complete a garden project on time.

Coming soon to Channel 5, Operation Homefront follows the building adventures of a multi-skilled ex-military team, led by former Royal Engineer and Special Forces Soldier Kevin Godlington.

In September 2012 their programme was being filmed in Ashton Park, Preston where they had four days in which to create a garden to be looked after by disabled ex-servicemen and servicemen who have struggled to cope with civilian life, after serving on the frontline, and have had to suffer through rehab after battling with drugs or alcohol.

When the project fell behind schedule, MW&Co were contacted and asked to provide tradesmen in the form of bricklayers and joiners. A total of 10 man days were provided to ensure that project was put back on track.

Despite the best attempts of the Great British weather to thwart progress, the garden was opened on time. A charity has been set up to ensure the gardens stays a legacy for the area with the intention for the TV crew to return in the future to see how the garden has developed.
