COMPANY staff took to the trees on a team-building exercise in the Lake District. The thrill-seeking group ventured up to Grizedale Forest to experience the award-winning high wire adventure course Go Ape. Office and site staff were joined by a handful of contractors for a fun-filled day in the trees, which incorporates a mixture of rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides. Site agent Peter Blakey, who organised the trip, said: “Up to 30 of us try to get away at least once a year for an adventurous weekend, which is always financially-backed by Marcus. “Team bonding plays a big part, but there is also a strong emphasis on having some fun. However, I’m not so sure that Steve Smith would agree, as he looked a little bit white and was too scared to take any photos!” Previous excursions include whitewater rafting, go-karting and paintballing. |
