Acclaim for ‘first class’ student accommodation project

Marcus Worthington & Co earned a glowing tribute from leading national property company Quintain Estates and Development PLC at the official opening of the magnificent iQ Kopa student accommodation complex in Preston.

Quintain joined Marcus Worthington to carry out the opening ceremony at the 677-bedroomed site on Moor Lane.

A spokesman for Quintain said: “This has been a first class project from start to finish, a task made all the more straightforward by the professionalism of Marcus Worthington and his team.

“It was a major undertaking and Marcus Worthington and Co worked tirelessly to deliver the splendid complex on time and on budget. We are very keen to work with them on future projects.”

Giles Worthington, the contract director on behalf of Marcus Worthington & Co, said: “There were just 17 months between demolition and turn key and it represents our biggest single-site development to date.”

The prestigious project, which incorporates 10 multi-storey blocks around an imposing central tower, provides 21st century student lifestyle in a great location, with easy access to the University of Central Lancashire.
